I'd be removing it whenever I have to go in for service. Both to remove the JB+ under the cover since I'm under warranty, as well as to not create extra work for the service techs if they need it off. Realistically perhaps a couple times a year, but easier the better if I ever needed to do it on the side the road.
If it had QR pins rather than bolts, I'd pay a premium for that myself. I'm thinking it could be a useful mod.
