There are Eddy Current (load varying) Dynojets available now, but most are still the standard inertia style "X" (inertia) units as they are far cheaper and are what most people want.
The Eddy Current ones are really pricey and are typically used for custom tuning to emulate driving on hills, launching, cruise, light and heavy throttle tip-in, etc. Most people aren't willing to throw down $500+ for a tuning session on a load-based dyno. Load-based dynos are without the best dyno to gauge the state of your car's tuning strategy. An inertia dyno and most any other dyno plot you see posted on forums is simply a full throttle run in the 1:1 gear to measure max power. Nothing more. A Dynojet is ideal for that, IMO.
