My average fuel economy on longish road trips has always hovered a bit below 30 mpg in a 235. I don't use EcoPro because I have discovered that it confers no benefit at speeds over about 60 mph/100kph, which is just too damn slow for me.
By the same token, driving in Sport mode on the highway is not only a waste of fuel, it is bad for the car, since it keeps the transmission in 7th gear at relatively high rpm for prolonged periods. Sport mode is for two-lane twisties, or if I just want to make noise around the neighborhood. It may also scare the deer, who are as abundant as squirrels where I live.
