Anything nearby that anyone can vouch for?
CFR SCCA is having a track day at Sebring Club course on July 22/23, open to novices as well. I can vouch. www.cfrpdx.com

The FIRM is pretty cool. The Chief driving instructor (Bryn Walters) is an awesome guy. Living in Gainesville, this track is about as local as one could get for me, so it is a plus. The Track Attack weekends are generally lightly booked, so you will get a lot of track time. When I went, there were only 5 cars so we went on and off all day as much as we wanted. On the downside, you pay about as much as you would to run Homestead or Daytona or Sebring with the SCCA (~$200) . Also, the track is small (1.6mi) and there is only one straight that is even close to long enough for passing. In all, it is a great starter track and you can learn a lot from Bryn if you are ready to learn.
