"Replace Battery" at 22 miles on '18 M240i??
I took delivery of an new M240i a few days ago. Tonight, I went to put some backroad miles on it, just to get acquainted.
I was greeted with a "Replace Battery" warning on the dash cluster. The car had 22 miles on it. I thought I'd try charging the battery by driving it, as planned. Ended up adding 29 more miles, but the "Replace Battery" warning persisted.
I texted my salesman. He replied, "Yeah. Once the car gets to a certain battery level that message won't go away even though the battery is perfectly fine. Really frustrating. I will check with my manager tomorrow to see what needs to be done." WTF?
Any experiential forum feedback on this issue? Is there a DIY reset, maybe? I'm sure it'll all get worked out tomorrow, but nothing beats first-hand experience. Thanks, in advance!
