I actually didn't have the eyeglass holder in mine. I simply had the cubby with a mat. I found that it fit better taking
bmtespar's suggestion about removing the backplate from the charger. I then secured it with double sided tape as well (I used clear Gorilla Glue clear mounting tape so instead of white double sided foam tape so that there was no risk of white showing through anywhere).
