Is there any hard data on the difference in depreciation between manuals and automatics, or coupes and convertibles, that might lead one to make the statement that one could recoup most of their investment in a manual convertible?
Yes, these are very rare birds, but that is in large part because few people want them, new or used. Rarity does not always translate directly to desirability or value.
Just curious. Most cars sink in value like stones. The percentage that count as investments is minuscule. I would never advise anyone to buy a car as an investment, at least not a financial investment.
