No worries. As I understand it, the ECU(s) should adapt, but in my case, I’m getting an occasional drive train malfunction warning that doesn’t persist, with no accompanying CEL or ill performance effects. Apparently, they are internal codes that can’t be seen with a standard OBD2 diagnostic tool. More of an annoyance than anything else. According to Dan at Diffsonline, he’s done dozens of the final drive changes to 3.08 and I’m the only he’s aware of having an issue. If the engine and/or ZF8 ECU doesn’t adapt, eventually I’ll pursue a programming solution now that the engine ECU is cracked (don’t know about the ZF8 ECU). I’ve read about this issue on older models and eventually it’s seems solutions were worked out.
