If you are using a GoPro, before hitting record, you can press and hold on a section of the screen you want to set the exposure to. Press where your windshield is and this will prevent the washout look.

On the first hot lap, it looked like that blue vette late braked almost every turn and was inches from going off! Especially at China Beach!
