I'm actually considering switching to RE71Rs up front and keeping the MPSS in the rear. I'm thinking that will give me a more neutral handling balance and I'll replace RE71Rs as they wear out from autocross and the MPSS in the rear should last substantially longer (saving $). Has anyone else done this? Should I be concerned that tire shops won't mount different tires front/rear?

not advised by anyone to mix tires like that, anyone will mount anything if you just bring them a wheel and tire.
