So of course I waited too long and now my lease is over this Sunday. The pay off price for my 2015 m235i with 27.8k miles is $29,064 and the residual is $29,764. I tried to call 3 dealerships and none of them would quote me any lower than that price Bc apparently there are new rules implemented (in the last couple months) and they can't go any lower than that stated price.

Am I doing something wrong/ not asking the right questions?
Dealers can no longer discount the car past a certain amount for a buyout by the original lessee. There's a thread on here somewhere with the details posted by another forum member.
So I ended up paying $29k for my m235i with 28k miles on it. Was able to convince the dealer to do a full detail, fix a decent dent on my hood and toss in the m performance floor mats... not bad right?
Not bad at all! That's awesome.
