Alutec Drive's on my M235i 'vert, 7.5Jx17 with 225/45-17 winter tyres (Pirelli Winter Sottozero S3). The underlying design theme is simlar to the OP's:
I've replaced the Alutec hubs with the BMW Floating Hubcaps. I've had these on for the last four winters and they've stood up well. They're certainly much easier to clean than the standard BMW wheels.
