Thanks. Yes, read that one yesterday as well. Mine's the 8AT though. I have 2 other bmw's with this feature and works fine (not that I use it much TBH) and my 2016 235 is a replacement for my 2015 that was recalled back in Aug/Sept and it worked on that vehicle.
Bizarre. In any case, I'll be taking it in for the mystery subwoofer issue so they can look at the stop/start thing at the same time.

Ah, sorry. Hope they fix it. I doubt I'll ever really use it either but at least I know how now! :\
