So no need for "the talk" papa.

Of the most current threads, only 2 are about pricing.
I wish people would quit posting on threads they feel the need to complain about. Don't like it? Move along to another thread.
I think you and I were in the same range a couple of months back...

IIRC, I was thinking that the M235 would start somewhere in the 45-47 range, and be around 50K with a few options. 55-60 with everything.

M2 will probably start right at 50 and top out at 55 or so. I am guessing they will use the 1M spec sheet as a guide and limit the amount of stuff you can get on it.

So you like a fast, comfortable, small coupe with all the trimmings? M235 and mid 50sK will get you out the door.

But if you want a raw, faster, less complicated coupe with fewer trimmings? M2 and mid 50sK will get you out of the door.

The two cars will have different purposes, and will be sought after different buyers. I still think they will end up in the same general range of price. Remember, this is still the affordable ///M.

Hell, you can spec a 328i out to 60 some grand right? Just depends on what your individual needs or goals are...
