Sport Mode & S+ both lower the oil temp & is an indication that oil is running thru the oil cooler.

Just completed a run from Birmingham to Huntsville in 80 deg temps outside in comfort mode (80mph+ for nearly an hour .. Oil Temp display 228-230F.

I run 5W-40 PP EURO & a 50/50 BMW Coolant MIX.

Over 240F seems HIGH. Tracking would be another story.

+1. I have almost the same setup. My temps run pretty much in the same range also. I don't think I've hit over 230F on mine since I've been monitoring it with my scantool. Summer is coming up, so I'll be watching out for changes in temps.
