Yep. There's absolutely no reason for Texas to have a front-plate requirement these days. In fact, there's a bill currently pending in the Texas legislature that would kill them -- but only for cars with a base price of $60k and over. How much sense does
that make?
But FYI: Red-light camera systems almost universally shoot the rear of the car, anyway. Why? They're designed for installation and implementation in any jurisdiction, and the only way to 'shoot the plate' in any jurisdiction is to shoot the rear.
