drader, very good practice...and good advice for us all! As has been previously discussed on the forum, tires are the only thing keeping us attached to the road. Best to be sure they are in good order.
As a veteran of many upstate NY winters, tires and batteries...never scrimp, if you have the means. The downside is not desirable.
