There is a reason there are almost no AWD cars on Florida dealers lots. I live in Utah now, have the xi and I sort of wish I had not paid more for the extra weight and different feel. Technically it is faster, but only if you are doing 0-60 launches. Not something likely to be important. Just take another car in the winter if the mountain roads are really steep going to TN.
