We have an MY16 235xi vert with an 8/15 production date and would like to retrofit Carplay.
Without replacing the head unit, the only way solution I have found is Bimmertech's Multimedia Interface for $525.
Has anyone here done that? Were you satisfied with the results?
How difficult was the install? I have not been able to find the installation instructions on Bimmertech's website. I would say I'm merely an "average" DIYer and don't want to get it over my head.
I do see on Bimmertech's website that they have 2 installers in my area, Prestige BMW (an authorized BMW dealer) as well as Unexpected Creations in Edison, which Bimmertech rates as a "Platinum" dealer.
