You can get the kit for about 2600, less if you go thru places like fcp. Installation for me was most expensive part - I was going up from the base sliding calipers, so it needed entire rebuild of the rear hubs to add the larger backing plates and rotors. There are cheaper workarounds if you are looking to DIY. It was very worthwhile for me, as I'm tracking it and had the crappy little brakes originally. If you already have any of the 'blue' Brembos then I think you would be wasting your money (or it would be a cosmetic change), especially if you don't track. It is a massive visual upgrade either way (and yes, you always need 18" wheels, and even some of those won't fit w/o spacers - not quite as tight as the M4 kits I've seen, but they really fill the wheel.
