The stock airbox is a restriction - you can do something like the CTS - which has a unique MAF housing to not cause any issues. Or, you can do the MPPK (M2) airbox with a drop in filter.
I have both, and while the CTS is slightly "better" the M2 airbox is very good, and absolutely better than stock.
To get the best performance, pair it with an inlet.
