It's going to be another month or so before I really get to put the new gear to use when all the ducks and geese (along with the eagles and hawks) start migrating in. I just got Wimberly feet for both my Sony lenses so I can use my giimbal head with them. I'm not a huge tripod shooter, but they built a new viewing platform over the summer at the Sac NWR that could be a lot of fun.

I knew that was a large crop. The detail is a testimony to both the lens' IQ and the resolution of that body. Stunning!
I haven't mounted my Wimberly foot yet, on my 600/f4. I hardly ever use a tripod or monopod, but I need to be ready, in case I pull the tripod out of the M3's trunk. ;-)
