As a reference, I ran stock pads for HPDE with the M5 and they held up OK for the most part. In the 335i I ran Hawks. In my Evo X, I ran Hawk HT-10s on both the street and track and loved them.

Pad selections are limited at this time. These Pagids are great at the track, but not suited for street use.
Stoptech has a great pad, but only the rears are available right now.
