2018 LCI
Maybe LCI requires different/more coding ?
It's the same for the LCI as the pre-LCI, I coded BFD on my new 2018 230i loaner car.. Same parameters as the ones listed..

You must be doing something wrong..
Can you tell me exactly everything and every ecu that needs to be coded please? I will try again.
What are you trying to do exactly, have the main brake lights flash or just the two inner rear fogs, while the main brake lights stay steady?

Under the two folders in FEM folder, if using Bimmercode, change these two parameters below then report back.

The rest of settings is just to adjust the sensitivity.
Okay so it works... sort of. It only works on extreme braking when coming to a stop even though I have activation speed on 5kmh and weak braking. Thanks for the help! Just wish the weak braking and 5kmh actually did something.
Well the idea of Brake Force Display is it only activates when the ABS kicks in, for real aggressive braking. Think of your cell phone flying off the seat when you brake hard, something like that would activate it.

Anything else would just annoy fellow motorist behind you and which I believe is illegal in most US states because brake lights have to remain steady burning, under DOT rules.

If you want to adjust it to the most sensitive setting, code the parameter I listed below under the FEM module.
