Oil changes are very simple, one nut and crush washer on the oil pan to drain.. Up top you have the special oil filter wrench you need to twist off the oil filter cap.

Pop out the old one, put in the new oil filter, change the o-ring and gasket, tighten back up.
Important step: clean up the oily mess up top and underneath.
Fill up with 7 quarts of oil! Do note the oil filler can hold the bottle upright, but be careful of foil in the bottle (remove it completely), and make sure the plastic twist seal from the bottle doesn't come off.
But your wasting your money if your changing under the 12,000 mile interval unless your rag-dolling the car on the track.
