M3 LCA’s will get you some negative camber but will also bring the top of the inside of the tires closer to the strut. Camber plates, on the other hand, move the entire mechanism (strut and tire) to a negative position while keeping the distance from tire to strut the same as stock, making for easier tire fitments in the 245 and 255 section widths up front. At least this is my understanding from researching this a couple years ago.
