Had SIB completed which includes a reprogram for suspension noise from my left strut tower - VDC. The colder the weather the louder the noise.

After this did not work - BMW replaced my Strut Mounts and this did make things much quieter but the noise can be heard ever so slightly. Now that the spring temps are warming up -- I can only hope that next winter the clunking noise remains muted (my passengers don't notice the sound).

All of the control arms and ball joints / bushings were verified good.

The really fun part was the 3 weeks my car was at the dealership.

My recommendation is to add this to your "Near end" of warranty so that BMW picks up the bill. So listen to your suspension carefully. BMW has chassis ears which can verify the issue.
