My longarms are always into their individual carryboxes with 2 diallocks or keylocks and stored into a class III weapon closet. Handguns are stored also into locked boxes and also into a shelf into said store.
Ammo outside of appartment into the cellar and there into a small wall mounted class III safe.
Weapon laws into Germany a very restrictive, as a gun license holder you have to expect spontaneous checks of the Police and/or the authority to ensure that the regulations are all fulfilled. I would never give them the chance to catch me by surprise.
