The timing chain problem was in the 4-cylinder and was mostly resolved by 2015, so it does not apply to the 235 or 240.
There have been problems reported with plastic parts, but mostly in cars that have been tuned.
It is NEVER a good idea to buy a tuned car, simply because it is much more likely to have been stressed. This is especially true with high mileage specimens.
