YAFI - yet another fitment inquiry

Have decided I want to go with VMR V802s on my M240i, having been happy with the V710s on my previous 335. They seem to be readily available here in Canada in 18x8.5 et45. I would plan to run a square setup with something like some Pirelli P-Zero RFTs in 245/35R18 (yes, I actually like the RFTs).

I've been reading through the threads here. Have to say one of the few things I dislike about this car is how picky it is about wheel/tire fitment. I think from my research et42s would probably be OK, but 45s might be tight. I'd rather not use spacers, but if they are required I'll consider it. Any input from the more experienced folks here would be appreciated.

TIA
