Are you set on 235s? A few of the folks are running this square setup with no modifications:

Not with the 17s in that spec. 18s for sure though. So on Apex's website I think they say you do (to cover their butt), but in the actual Apex wheel thread on here there is an employee at Apex who runs 245s on 17" arc 8s with no other mods. He tracks the car as well with no issues. A few other posters have the same setup with no modification. I'd hit up the rep on here just to double check.
