I definitely recommend it if you can. The Google Maps integration is pretty good. Now I’m just waiting for Waze to update their app to be compatible with CarPlay!
Wireless charging is not required. I don’t have it on mine and use CarPlay every day. Aside from MY, I believe that navigation is the only other requirement.
