The interior looks amazing, even if it was on a higher end BMW it would fit. I think that it has a lot going for it just for that reason.
MB has been making the A-Klasse and B-Klasse for a long time; if they can play in that segment and still make the S-Klasse which sells without any hiccups regarding exclusivity due to existence of the lower end models, then BMW should be just fine making the 2 Series Active Tourer alongside the rest of the fleet.
That all being said, the X0 comment was pretty funny. I also don't get why this is a 2 series when seeing the "real" 2 series, but without going to decimals or letters other than X or M ... BMW has kind of used up all of the whole numbers from 1 - 7 (and 8 but that's been a while). So, they are reusing a number or two. Can you blame them?
