I ordered a German dishwasher in early March. At that time, the retailer couldn't tell me when it would arrive and said "a minimum of four months is my best guess". He didn't know because the distributor couldn't tell him, and the distributor couldn't tell him because the manufacturer couldn't say when they would be able to produce it.
The dishwasher arrived August 23rd. According to the contractor I'm using, that's normal now. He's got five jobs going because each job takes its turn waiting for one part or another to arrive from some place on the globe. We had other pieces that took months to arrive after ordering them, but the dishwasher took the prize for longest to get here.
