Does it stay locked? I only suggest this because I know I can press the comfort access bit on my handle before all my doors are closed. It will lock the ones closed, then when the last door is closed (say, if I'm carrying a passenger) that door locks and then the car beeps.
I would guess - pure speculation - that it's disabled to avoid locking keys in car. Mine if I leave the key in the cup holder and try to lock it via comfort it won't lock.
