Just figured if there were a way to lock the car without having to dig the fob out of my pocket, someone here would know how.
Not sure how this would work without comfort access but can't you press the lock button on the dash after you open the door?

1. open door
2. press lock button on dash
3. get out
4. close door

Does it stay locked? I only suggest this because I know I can press the comfort access bit on my handle before all my doors are closed. It will lock the ones closed, then when the last door is closed (say, if I'm carrying a passenger) that door locks and then the car beeps.
