Waxing is really easy to do. Something like Meguiars ultimate wax will not stain trims and mouldings.
What I'm suggesting is beyond your typical wash and wax routine - More of a paint prep and correction for ceramic coating. I would suggest looking into it to see if it's something you would like to do. This is not your typical paint sealant...I've never had any of the waxes/sealants I've tried last more than two months to where it's still beading water well. And my ceramic coat is still shedding water like mad after two months.
Prep for ceramic coating could cost a bit depending on how much paint correction needs to be done, but certainly it should be less now while the car is new!
As a guideline, I would be skeptical if anyone quotes less than 4hrs to do full wash, claybar, one or two step correction.
