Some downpipes are more expensive than others because of the quality of cats used (Akrapovic, Active Autowerke, Fabspeed, and Wagner)
With higher quality cats, you have a better chance of no CEL. Some of these brands even offer no CEL guarantee.
In terms of quality of the welding and finish, I dont think Akrapovic downpipe is better than AR Design, Evolution Racewerks, Active Autowerke or Wagner.
