didn't it come with the ball end?
you don't need the rod.... just the ball end with the bolt on the other side... so you pop out the stock ball end that comes with the clamp and put the ball end with the bolt....
I guess you could try to adapt the clamp to work with the M4 LCA but it won't look pretty
