Yep, fair call. I was just thinking this the other day, since one of the often-repeated forum stories is how BMWs all go sideways at 60,000 miles. I would expect to see a lot of 2017 MY M240is hit that number the end of this year.
It's anyone's guess, but I'm thinking it's more like the mythical Porsche IMS bearing story being blown out of proportion. Car forums have a way of doing that.
