BTW, i kept the RFTs because there's just no way i'm getting out of the car on the beltway or any of the major arteries to change a tire. the RFTs have allowed me to get to a shop safely a couple of times. given the sorry state of the roads around the region, that may be something for you to consider.

Thanks happyjack! That is a REALLY good point you bring up. No way would I change a tire on the shoulder of the beltway either. I'll give the runflats a chance. I haven't really dug into any forum topics about the Continental runflats, but I have heard you can still plug most punctures just fine, despite Continental suggesting otherwise. I still have my plug kit and a small air compressor from my Fiat days and I've gotten quite good at plugging tires.
