Hi,
was willing to mount a Thule Wingbar Evo luggage holder on the roof of my Series 2 xe225 (2019). Since I don't have the BMW rails mounted, and got to realize they cannot be mounted after the car is delivered (unless bringing back to the garage and having the ceiling partially taken off), will have to go for a solution clamping the rack betwen the doors and the chassis.
My question is if I have to remove the plastic covers protecting the rails slots to prevent it from being damaged when installing the rack.
The model from Thule si specific to my case so possibly this is not an issue and the feet of the rack will be outside of the rails, but just in case you were aware of a similar case.
