Pretty sure in late 2012 production switched to N55.
If that's the case, then the z4 35is no longer stays on my "Respectable/adorable BMW" list
I'm almost certain all IS engines are N54 regardless of year.

I know for certain in the 335is they are still n54's, but I guess it's possible on the z4's this isn't the case...doesn't seem likely though that BMW would use an N55 with PPK here considering they don't make that power anyways.
