I found those to be the key pad characteristics when brake-steering (trail-braking) the car to the apex. You need fine control in brake zones where you're pressing-and-releasing as many times as necessary to stay on-line at your desired speed. It also makes it easier at the point of final release to ensure the car is balanced the way you want it.
