bluetooth music used to need extended bluetooth, but on the 2 it doesnt, so you can play over bluetooth now but quality isnt as good i believe
apple cable also means you can use bmw apps etc which you cant over BT. but yes, if you just want to play music bluetooth will work on the 2 for this.
