Then they will collect MORE leaves & junk and be even harder to clean out! The idea is to be just big enough to carry ALL the water, but not allow other junk to fall in. But I am sure he will explain all that with his slide rule and scientific calculator...... =)
The guy that guttered my shed almost had an orgasm when I asked about the slope and he got out is pad and told me all the math to make the water always flowed and never sat, but also flowed slow enough to keep it from taking too much with it towards the downspouts during less than downpours......
