I know that you're worried about ground clearance and the DC area is nowhere near the apples-to-apples comparison in regards to snow, but I've owned both an e39 M5 and e46 M3 in winter with snow tires and did not have a single issue. Even when we've had the multi-foot blizzards (yes, we occasionally get winters where it feels more like Boston than DC), it's never been an issue and both of those cars were lowered. I swear by the RWD/manual/winter tire setup. Just want to throw that out there. If you're tired of the car and want to genuinely switch things up, that is a different story, but that is a big hit on depreciation if you were just worried about driving in the snow.


Again, not trying to tell you what to do, but just thought I'd throw it out there. Will also be helpful for a potential buyer worried about driving in the snow as well! At the very least, it's a free bump!
