I got an email from Doug Dobson about the USB module. You can program the amp so that it uses the USB module only when a signal is present on the USB cable. Otherwise it uses the factory harness as its input. So, I emailed the seller in the UK to cancel the order of the URC.3 remote. I'll let you know what happens.
