My dilemma - recently, my pads have lost the bite they had when they were new. I've only got 15K on the car but the driving is in mixed conditions.

I know a lot of folks like the Yellowstuffs, but I had two bad experiences with the EBC products and just will not go back.

I'm between these:

Ferodo DS2500:

PFCs:

Hawk DTC-60 (I used to have Hawk HT-10s on my Evo X on the street and loved them):

I would've included the Porterfields, but they do not make them for the M235i, even though it is listed. Have them on my wife's X3 and they're better than stock but that's about it.

Thanks!

The pfc-08s are a track only pad. There is no way you will use these on the street. They are way too loud. Trust me. Police might ticket you they are so loud.
They will work wonders on track, but be prepared to swap them. Brake sensors will not work with these pads unless u spend some time grinding.

The Ferodos say they don't work with a brake pad sensor, so for street use, thats a big fail.

DTC-60s are a track pad, and say they have a low initial bite, not good for those unexpected stops on the street.

At the end of the day, just try one and let us know. I still think yellowstuffs are your best option for a street pad. Reality is, you need a real track pad for the track, and a great pad for the street that doesn't get too loud which yellowstuffs are. Try the StopTech Street Performance pads instead and buy a dedicated set of track pads.

if you read through the thread and list, there are multiple choices that are a street/ light track pad option.
