THe JL speakers were available on Amazon for around $90 dollars, they arrived the next day. I didn't have the wiring harness, so I clipped the connector and crimped wires to the spade connection supplied with the JL speakers with no issues.

Note to self: buy a real crimping tool if you ever do something like this again!

I did read about the non-intuitive polarity of the driver side rear speaker where the Brown striped wire is actually the positive, so I went ahead and did as described in another post. I was a bit scared of that one, but it sounds fine to my ears so I'm pretty sure that is a valid recommendation.

Sound is much improved, thanks for the posts that gave me the confidence to do this easy upgrade.
